Khushi POV
I had meticulously prepared for the meeting, ensuring every detail was in place. I installed a hidden camera for recording in my cabin previously nobody knew about it. It came handed today. As planned, I discreetly left my cabin, feigning a trip to the washroom. However, I strategically positioned myself behind a wall, allowing me to observe Kajal's and Neha's actions without being detected. Under the pretence of delivering documents, Kajal entered my cabin while Neha stood guard outside, acting as a lookout to signal Kajal's departure unnoticed.
Once Kajal had left, I returned to my cabin and gathered the necessary materials for the meeting and the crucial elements of the impending "show." I then approached Aman Mehta, my boss's dependable and supportive assistant. For him, I like his younger sister. He always helps me with my work and protects me. So, that's why he doesn't care how I talk or behave.
He asked, "What do I have to do?" -I gave him a USB drive that contained the recording from the CCTV, showing Neha and Kajal plotting against me. Additionally, there was another recording from a hidden camera that captured Kajal deliberately destroying the designs.- I said, "You know what to do with this?" He gave a meaningful smile and then left. To arrange everything according to the plan.
Shortly thereafter, the receptionist informed me that the client had arrived. When I entered the meeting room, I saw two people inside. One was on a phone call, while the other noticed my presence and turned to me, appearing a bit frustrated. This was likely due to the incident from our last meeting.
He asked, "Where is Mr Arora? Who are you?" I replied, "Welcome to VS Jewellers. I regret to inform you that Mr Arora cannot attend the meeting because of an urgent personal matter. My name is Khushi Singh, and I am an Assistant Designer. I will present the latest designs for your review or finalize."
He said, "Hello, I am Mr. Siddarth Kapoor's PA. My name is Rohit Mittal. It's nice meeting you, Miss Khushi Singh. I will check with my boss to see if he wants to continue the meeting." I replied, "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Mittal. Please go ahead."
He turned to another person, who had since concluded his phone call and said something in his ear. He replied something in his ear, to which he nodded. I heard him say, "Yes, sir." They turned and his boss looked at me from head to toe. I introduced myself again to him and said, "Good evening Sir, I'm an Assistant Designer Khushi Singh. I'll be the one who presents the latest design." He replied, "Good afternoon, I'm Siddharth Kapoor." I replied, "Sure, sir." He sounds a little rude. I instructed him to sit before commencing the meeting. I said, "According to your requirements, our designer came up with some designs." I gave him designs and started to explain every design and its concept to him.
Finally, I said, "I hope you like the design. If you want any changes in design, you can also tell me." He seemed dazed. Before, I called him.
He suddenly said, "No, it's just that I'm confused."
I said, "If you have any problems, please let me know, sir. If you don't like the design, we can change the jewellery." My tone was flat, lacking any expression or emotion.
He said, "I am confused because I don't know if my elder sister will like it or not."
I asked, "What kind of person is your sister? That way, I can suggest a design that would suit her."
He said, "Simple, elegant, beautiful and sometimes mischievous."
"Alright, sir. Allow me to show you something. Perhaps you like it." - She said. After that, she showed me the design, which I liked.
He said "Perfect, I like it. I'm sure my Didi (Elder sister) will also like it. Can you create it in the next 2 weeks?"
She responded, "Okay, no problem, sir. I will ask our jewellery maker to create it as soon as possible."
After a confident and firm handshake, we wrapped up the meeting. As the participants began to gather their belongings and exchange polite farewells, I watched as they made their way out of the room. With their departure, the atmosphere shifted, and I realized that the stage was now primed for the grand show ahead.
